I don't know about you, but I have been on a blueberry smoothie kick lately. I just can't get enough of these phytochemical-rich berries, which are known to guard our bodies against oxidative stress and nourish our eyes and brains.
I make this Blueberry Vanilla Smoothie recipe quite often and tend to keep it the same. The only thing I might do differently is swap out different proteins/meal replacements, frozen fruits, and flavors/varieties.
To shake things up, I decided to stack it with some 5 Defenders Organic Mushroom Complex. I found that if you do add more than 1/2 tsp, it gives a nice bitter kick in the pants with the sweetness of berries and bananas.
I realize this may not be for everyone, but it's worth trying!
